Rocket scientist | Can you design, test and optimise a rocket?
Rocket scientist

Time

90 min.

Who can build the perfect rocket?

Groups of 2 – 3 people compete to build the rocket that can be fired the closest to a pre-selected target.

With duct tape, cardboard, paper, sand and much more, the groups use their knowledge and imagination to build a water rocket. The rocket can be tested on the Universe rocket firing course. After the test, the group get the chance to optimise their rocket so that it lands closest to the target.

In addition to the design, the group also need to consider the height in relation to the amount of water, the angle and the use of pressure when firing.

The workshop guides are helpful and offer the participants inspiration on how to design a rocket. The building of the rocket starts with your knowledge and imagination.

Worth knowing:
  • The entry ticket to the park is not included in the price, but can be purchased for 129 kr per person.
